A huge day for the Blueys,we didnt win everything, but there were some massive highlights, and none more than the way firsts finished proceedings for the club at David Phillips field.Epping came into the main game of the day having beaten both us and St Pats in the last month, and probably thought they were a great chance, but the Blueys blew the Rams away with an awesome mix of power and class to march into next saturdays final at Woolhara Oval against Forest with a massive 38-19 victory.Right from the kick off we dominated,a hard working pack of forwards helped a classy backline do the rest, and while Sai scored another three tries in a spectacular show, the real heroes were up front, and none better that Zac Johnson, who played his heart out and put in a class act that shut up the rubbish that was coming from the opposition supporters, while you cant discuss this game without also giving a rap to Pinno who backed up from seconds after BJs early departure and played his heart out.

Seconds with the inspiration of an awesome pack to lead them round the park, were just too good for Lindfield for the second week in a row marching into the grand final with a solid 27-15 victory. With Clancy Henderson working his butt off,the blueys pigs dominated, and countered, and bettered every effort from the opposition to stem the tide. While Clancy was man of the match,Connor and pinno worked their class in the halves, and there was plenty of vintage magic from Leigh Murphy,if this team continues on with this kind of form, its hard to see them not doing the victory lap at Concord Oval Saturday week.

Colts paid the price for a shocker of a first half, down 22-0 at the break,to conceed a heart breaking 22-21 loss. The first spell saw the boys make too many mistakes and they seemed to lack structure, but in all fairness, everything the opposition did turned to gold. The Blueys ran out for the second half transformed and stormed back into it on the back of an inspiring effort of top class Rugby from Luke Ruttley, but sadly ran out of time to finish the job.

Thirds once again found Lindfield were able to hang in there with the Blueys before the boys eventually wore them down and won 17-7.The Blueys forwards were once again the cornerstone of the teams efforts, and while plenty put their hands up on the day,Adam Barrington and Aaron Childs were the stand outs,Adam played himself to a standstill, while the bloke who belted Aaron early probbly wished he hadnt done it as for the rest of the game he ran amok and destroyed the opposition.Like seconds they are in the big dance in two weeks time, hard to see them not being premiers after yet another punishing display.

Fourths had only themselves to blame when beaten 11-5 by Uni of NSW to end their 2018 season. They had the measure of the home team, and started well,Adam Wright scored early, but they just did too many little things wrong that gave a struggling opposition too any chances to sneak in a victory, which they took. However the boys tried all the way, players like inspirational skipper Dayne Nicholls, and of course as usual number 9 Wade Murphy were two players who gave it everything, the team did lose this one,but left us with many great memories for the season.
